First-half burns totaled more than $32.82 million as HTX DAO tied continued supply reduction to platform activity, user growth and broader ecosystem development.
HTX DAO said it completed its second-quarter 2026 $HTX token burn on July 15, removing 7,474,935,439,560 tokens valued at more than $13.6 million from circulation. The organization said cumulative burned and pledged $HTX has now reached 117.79 trillion tokens, backed by on-chain burn proofs. Combined with the first-quarter burn of 10.83 trillion $HTX valued at more than $19.22 million, HTX DAO said first-half 2026 burns totaled more than $32.82 million. The group framed the latest burn as notable against a weaker market backdrop marked by tighter liquidity, softer trading activity and shifting macro sentiment. It said HTX's first-half data showed cumulative registered users of 59.49 million, total trading volume approaching $90 million and support for more than 612 trading pairs, which it presented as the operating base supporting continued token deflation. HTX DAO also pointed to ecosystem expansion as a longer-term driver of $HTX demand beyond supply reduction alone. It said the HTX Genesis Hackathon, co-hosted by HTX DAO and B.AI and co-organized by TinTinLand, has entered its final stage with a 20,000 USDT prize pool and more than $100,000 in computing power resources, attracting over 200 developer teams focused on areas including $HTX utility, AI agent finance, on-chain asset management, DAO tools and smart financial operating systems.
