The purchases were made across the LSE, Chi-X and BATS as part of Shell’s buyback programme announced on May 7, 2026.
Shell plc said it bought back 3,075,000 shares for cancellation on July 15, 2026 under its previously announced share buyback programme. The purchases were executed in sterling across the London Stock Exchange, Chi-X and BATS, with volume-weighted average prices of 31.6176 pounds, 31.6148 pounds and 31.6341 pounds per share, respectively. Shell said the programme was announced on May 7, 2026 and that Goldman Sachs International is making trading decisions independently of the company from May 7 through July 24, 2026 within pre-set parameters and under Shell’s authority to repurchase shares. The company said the buybacks are being conducted in line with the UK Listing Rules, Article 5 of Market Abuse Regulation 596/2014/EU, the UK onshored version of those rules and the related delegated regulation.
