Paymonade said Liechtenstein FMA approval lets it passport crypto-asset services across all 30 EEA states after MiCA’s July 1, 2026 transition deadline, amid broad industry consolidation under the EU crypto framework.
Paymonade, the trading name of Damoon Technology (Europe) AG, said it has received a MiCA licence from Liechtenstein’s Financial Market Authority, allowing it to offer regulated crypto-asset services across all 30 European Economic Area states under a single passportable licence. The company said more than 3,000 crypto firms had operated under national regimes before the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation took full effect, but only 280 firms held full EEA-wide authorisation after the transitional period ended on July 1, 2026. Paymonade said it provides fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure for payment providers, fintechs and exchanges, reported an annualized transaction volume run-rate of US$1.8 billion in the first half of 2026, and plans to double its European headcount and raise annualised transaction volume to CHF 6 billion by mid-2027.
