Group 1 Automotive continues U.S. dealership rebrands under unified brand
Rockwall CDJR, Sandia Toyota in Albuquerque, and Toyota of Rock Hill adopted Group 1 names while ownership, staffing, locations, and day-to-day operations remained unchanged under the retailer’s broader U.S. branding standardization effort.
Group 1 Automotive, Inc. said it is continuing to rebrand U.S. dealerships under a unified Group 1 name, including Rockwall CDJR in Texas, Sandia Toyota in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Toyota of Rock Hill in South Carolina. The company said Rockwall CDJR has operated as Group 1 CDJR Rockwall since October 22, 2025, Sandia Toyota adopted the name Group 1 Toyota Albuquerque on January 6, 2026, and Toyota of Rock Hill adopted the name Group 1 Toyota Rock Hill on April 14, 2026. In all cases, Group 1 said the name changes did not affect ownership, staffing, locations, product offerings, or day-to-day operations, and were intended to give customers a clearer connection to the retailer’s scale, technology, resources, and operating standards. Group 1 said it owns and operates 251 automotive dealerships, 312 franchises, and 32 collision centers across the United States and the United Kingdom, representing 37 vehicle brands.
