The company expanded details of the offer, saying storm, flood and tornado victims can get 30 days of free self-storage and on-site U-Box use at participating San Antonio-area facilities.
U-Haul said two San Antonio companies are making 17 centers available to provide 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container use to residents affected by severe storms, flash flooding and tornado damage. The offer applies to new self-storage and U-Box rentals, subject to availability, with U-Box limited to on-site storage at participating facilities while delivery is available for a fee. The company said flash flooding this week led to a disaster declaration covering 59 Texas counties, including Bexar County, and that a tornado touched down in northwestern San Antonio, damaging property. U-Haul identified 10 locations operated by U-Haul Company of San Antonio West and seven locations operated by U-Haul Company of San Antonio East, including facilities in San Antonio and New Braunfels.
