A July 13 SEC filing confirmed about $3 billion in U.S. dollar reserves, reinforcing a larger liquidity cushion that JPMorgan said reduces near-term forced-sale risk even as Strategy’s bitcoin holdings were reported unchanged in that disclosure period.
Strategy reported about $3 billion in U.S. dollar reserves in a July 13, 2026 SEC filing, giving the corporate Bitcoin holder a larger cash buffer without any confirmed change to its Bitcoin holdings in that disclosure period. JPMorgan said the roughly $3 billion cash position, continued inflows into Bitcoin futures and perpetual futures, and steady demand for Strategy-linked leveraged ETFs point to a constructive backdrop for Bitcoin, while reducing concern that Strategy might be forced to sell Bitcoin to meet obligations. The filing did not state how or when the cash would be used. Separately, Michael Saylor said corporate adoption is necessary for Bitcoin to develop into a global monetary network. CryptoQuant Head of Research Julio Moreno said Strategy’s Digital Credit Capital Framework has largely eased near-term liquidity pressure after the company sold 3,588 BTC for about $216 million and raised $466.7 million through MSTR stock sales, but he said the framework still lacks clearer rules for Bitcoin purchases, partial reductions, or hedging. Strategy retained 843,775 BTC, and President and CEO Phong Le said debt risk would become a concern only if Bitcoin fell to the $8,000-$10,000 range.
