Telia Lietuva posts 7.2% first-half revenue growth as EBITDA tops EUR 100 million

Telia Lietuva reported stronger unaudited results for the first half of 2026, with revenue rising 7.2% year over year to EUR 259.1 million and adjusted EBITDA climbing 10.2% to EUR 106.9 million, surpassing EUR 100 million for the first time. EBITDA increased 9.5% to EUR 105.5 million, profit for the period rose 14.7% to EUR 51.3 million, capital investments jumped 57.9% to EUR 37.5 million, and free cash flow advanced 12.5% to EUR 64.1 million. In the second quarter, revenue grew 6.9% to EUR 130.3 million, adjusted EBITDA rose 12.1% to EUR 54.7 million, EBITDA increased 11.9% to EUR 54.3 million, profit climbed 20.6% to EUR 26.7 million, and capital investments surged 83.7% to EUR 26.1 million. CEO Giedrė Kaminskaitė-Salters said interim service revenue grew 6.7%, equipment sales revenue increased 7.2%, and EBITDA margin stood above 40%. The company linked its network spending to rapid mobile data traffic growth in Lithuania, which it said is running at around 25% annually. In June, Telia Lietuva bought two 1,500 MHz frequency blocks for almost EUR 8 million in an auction organized by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) (Lithuania telecom regulator), securing 40 MHz for further 5G development, and also extended its right to use the 2,100 MHz band for another EUR 2 million. The company said it will invest EUR 7.1 million during 2026 to build 50 new base stations, modernize 300 existing sites and upgrade around 130 locations with new radio equipment, with around 30 more base stations planned in 2027 under the state-funded RAIN broadband infrastructure programme to improve coverage in "white areas." Telia Lietuva also said it distributed EUR 86.1 million in May 2026 as dividends for 2025, describing EUR 0.14 per share as a record payout, and announced board and management changes including the appointment of Andreas Ekström to the board and Vaidas Dominauskas as Head of Enterprise from 1 July 2026.
