Summary

Ethereum researcher Leo Glisic published a "Privacy Guardians 2.0" proposal on a research forum on July 17, setting out a framework to replace enterprise-controlled onchain payments with a decentralized alternative designed to improve payment privacy. The now open-sourced project includes modules for private payments, insurance, honeypot design, exchange-rate management, liquidity pools, and metadata processing. Glisic said the work remains at an early stage, with room to strengthen cryptographic security, incentive mechanisms, and capital efficiency, and invited the community to contribute. The whitepaper is available at glisic.xyz.
