Summary

Cronos has added Circle’s native USDC, EURC and CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, a system for moving tokens across chains) in a rollout the network said marks the first time a blockchain ecosystem has launched all three products simultaneously. The integration is designed to give consumers, institutions and developers access to compliant stablecoin infrastructure while making cross-chain transfers easier. The launch comes as Cronos prepares the Cronos app, a mobile-first trading platform developed through the Cronos blockchain with support from Crypto.com. The app is expected to let users trade tokenized stocks, prediction market assets and cryptocurrencies from a single account, while offering nearly 10x buying power, access in more than 183 jurisdictions and 24/7 market reach. Native USDC is set to serve as the main settlement asset in the Cronos app. Users are expected to be able to deposit USDC and trade across multiple asset classes from one balance, with transfers settling in USDC that is redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars. CCTP is meant to let users move USDC from more than 20 compatible chains to Cronos without relying on third-party bridges or wrapped tokens, while EURC expands the network’s stablecoin offering. Cronos said the combined integration should strengthen its role in compliant digital asset activity and broader financial innovation.
