Bitcoin held near a two-week high as a semiconductor-led risk rally and broader macro moves supported crypto prices, with trading volumes staying elevated and major tokens posting modest weekly gains.
Bitcoin traded near $66,300 on Wednesday, holding around a two-week high after a broader rebound that had earlier been supported by spot Bitcoin ETF inflows, softer U.S. macro data and revived hopes for progress on the CLARITY Act. The largest cryptocurrency was up nearly 1% on the day and 3% over the week, with roughly $31 billion in trading volume and a 24-hour range of $65,400 to $66,900. Ether traded around $1,935, up 3% over seven days, while XRP rose 2% to $1.14. TRON posted slight gains, while hyperliquid’s HYPE fell 4% to $60 and was down 10% over the past seven sessions. The latest move was linked more to macro risk appetite than to a fresh crypto-specific catalyst, with a rally in semiconductor stocks, the yen’s slide to a 40-year low and a 1% rise in MSCI’s Asia Pacific equities gauge helping support market sentiment. Investors are still watching whether the Senate advances the CLARITY Act and whether incoming economic data keeps supporting expectations for a Federal Reserve rate cut later this year.
