The first batch procurement under a January 2026 strategic agreement marks China Battery Exchange’s move from pilot work into commercial deployment within CATL’s heavy-truck swap network.
Kandi Technologies Group said its wholly owned subsidiary, China Battery Exchange (Zhejiang) Technology Co., Ltd., has received an equipment procurement order from QIJI Energy, the heavy-truck battery swap brand under Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, covering 18 heavy-truck battery swap stations. Under the agreement, China Battery Exchange will provide equipment manufacturing, delivery, site deployment and after-sales maintenance. The order is the first batch procurement under a three-year strategic cooperation agreement signed in January 2026 with Times QIJI Green Energy Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a CATL subsidiary focused on chassis-based battery swapping for heavy-duty trucks. Kandi said the deal marks a commercial milestone, shifting its CATL partnership from a pilot phase into active commercial operations after China Battery Exchange secured its first heavy-truck battery swap station equipment order from CATL in August 2025 under a Framework Procurement Agreement. The batch order is tied to CATL’s “Ten Thousand Station Plan,” with QIJI Energy targeting about 900 heavy-truck battery swap stations by the end of 2026. Kandi said its role as a core equipment supplier supports expectations for a stronger order pipeline, and the company said it will update investors on project progress and execution as developments warrant.
