Summary

IFF has agreed to sell a portfolio of specialty natural ingredients businesses to SuanNutra, which is backed by Carbyne Equity Partners. The companies said the acquired operations will be merged with SuanNutra’s existing business to create a larger global group focused on science-backed natural ingredients, with the transaction expected to close by the end of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions. The incoming businesses add clinically supported branded ingredients, botanical extraction at source, fermented vitamins and minerals, and plant-derived natural colours, antioxidants and flavours. The combined group is expected to have about 700 employees, serve more than 1,200 customers in over 60 countries, and operate manufacturing sites for botanical extraction in Spain, Slovenia and Peru, alongside fermentation in the United States.
