USA Rare Earth said Thras Moraitis, chief executive of Serra Verde Group, will lead the company following the completion of the two miners’ $2.8 billion combination. His appointment takes effect on Oct. 1, when Barbara Humpton is set to retire from both the company and its board. The move puts the post-merger group under Serra Verde’s current chief executive as USA Rare Earth completes a leadership transition alongside the deal.
