The law firm said the securities case now covers investors who bought Roblox shares from Oct. 31, 2024 through Apr. 30, 2026, with an Aug. 7, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.
Hagens Berman said the alleged class period in ongoing securities class action litigation involving Roblox Corporation has been expanded to cover investors who purchased or otherwise acquired Roblox common stock between October 31, 2024 and April 30, 2026. The firm said its investigation centers on whether Roblox and co-defendants violated federal securities laws through disclosures about protecting young users and the business impact of its age-check verification rollout, which began in November 2025. The release points to a series of disclosures starting on October 30, 2025, when Roblox said it would introduce enhanced age verification globally beginning in January 2026; the stock then fell 16% from $133.74 to $113.00, erasing $13 billion in market value. It also cites April 30, 2026 disclosures that included a sharp slowdown in daily active user, or DAU, growth, lower 2026 revenue guidance, a cut to 2026 bookings growth midpoint from 24% to 10%, and company comments that only 51% of global DAUs had age checked. Roblox also said the age-check process reduced app store ratings and may have contributed to weaker organic sign-ups, while lowered prospects reflected “continued friction” from the rollout. Hagens Berman partner Reed Kathrein said the firm is focused on when Roblox and management knew of the adverse consequences and whether investors were intentionally misled. Investors with substantial losses can seek lead plaintiff status by Aug. 7, 2026, and the release also highlights the SEC (U.S. securities regulator) Whistleblower program, which it said may award up to 30% of a successful recovery.
