Nacon posts €366.1 million annual loss after €342.9 million impairment

Bigben Interactive delayed its annual report as audit certification was not completed on time, while first-quarter 2026-2027 group sales slipped 2.3% as Nacon gaming revenue rose 4.1%.

Summary

Nacon reported a net loss of €366.1 million for fiscal 2025-2026 after recording a €342.9 million impairment on all fixed assets, including €136.6 million of goodwill, following a company valuation tied to its ongoing judicial reorganisation proceedings. The group said sales for the year ended March 31, 2026 fell to €160.8 million from €167.9 million a year earlier, while operating profit swung to a loss of €349.7 million from a €1.1 million profit. Bigben Interactive said it is postponing publication of its annual financial statements for the year ended March 31, 2026 and its 2025-2026 annual financial report because certification of the statutory and consolidated accounts could not be completed within the legal deadline. The company, which said it is in conciliation proceedings opened by the Lille Métropole Commercial Court on March 4, 2026, said it is discussing debt restructuring with its main financial creditors and reviewing strategic options for its asset perimeter. It plans to seek an extension until Dec. 31, 2026 to hold the annual general meeting to approve the accounts. For the first quarter of 2026-2027, Bigben Interactive reported unaudited group sales of €55.2 million, down 2.3% from €56.5 million a year earlier. Nacon Gaming posted sales of €32.6 million, up 4.1%, with games revenue rising 13.8% to €22.4 million, helped by a 32% increase in back-catalogue sales to €18.5 million, while accessories revenue fell 15.4% to €9.2 million. Bigben Audio-Video/Telco sales fell 10.3% to €22.6 million, reflecting weaker mobile accessories demand, though the company said the Force brand remained solid and Thomson products continued to see strong demand. It added that the mobile accessories business could benefit in the second quarter from new smartphone launches with innovative designs.
