Multiple law firms are investigating possible securities-law violations after Bloomberg reported Google was months behind on Gemini 3.5 Pro and the stock fell on July 16.
Scrutiny of Alphabet Inc. by shareholder law firms widened after Pomerantz LLP said it is investigating whether the company and certain officers and directors engaged in securities fraud or other unlawful business practices, following an earlier probe announced by Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP. Both announcements point to a July 16, 2026 Bloomberg report that said Google was months behind schedule on Gemini 3.5 Pro, its flagship AI model, and that an update to training data late last month produced disappointing results. Alphabet shares fell $16.40, or 4.4%, to close at $353.81 on July 16, 2026. The firms are seeking to hear from investors who suffered losses and are framing the stock decline as potential investor harm linked to the report.
