The SPAC's units began trading on Nasdaq under BRTMU, with $325 million placed in trust and management targeting a technology growth company with AI tailwinds for a future business combination.
B&R Technology Merger Corp. said it closed its initial public offering of 32,500,000 units at $10.00 each, generating gross proceeds of $325 million. The units began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market on July 21, 2026 under the symbol BRTMU. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of one redeemable warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable for one Class A ordinary share at $11.50. Once the securities begin separate trading, the company expects the shares and warrants to trade under BRTM and BRTMW, respectively. The company said $325 million from the IPO and a simultaneous private placement of units was placed in trust. Formed as a special purpose acquisition company, B&R Technology Merger Corp. said it may pursue a business combination in any sector but expects to focus on a technology growth company with artificial intelligence tailwinds. Citigroup acted as sole book-running manager, and the underwriter has a 45-day option to purchase up to 4,875,000 additional units to cover over-allotments.
