SpaceX is scheduled to publish its second-quarter 2026 financial results on Aug. 4 and hold an earnings webcast that will also be livestreamed on X. Two days later, about 911.5 million insider shares worth roughly $116 billion are due to unlock, according to the company’s prospectus and newer reporting, marking the first major tranche in a phased release of previously restricted stock. Earlier reports cited by Odaily said the initial Aug. 6 tranche represented 8% of total shares and could rise to 12% if the stock traded 30% above the IPO price and satisfied a 5-of-10 trading-day condition; additional 2.8% unlocks are scheduled for Aug. 21, Sept. 10, Sept. 25, Oct. 12, and Oct. 26. Newer reporting also says freely tradable shares are expected to expand from about 639 million to 5.33 billion by early December. The stock has fallen 37% since its June 16 closing peak, erasing more than $425 billion in market value, while S3 Partners said about 30% of tradable shares were sold short, leaving bearish investors with paper profits of roughly $7 billion. MSX.COM data showed the shares rose more than 3% to snap a seven-session losing streak and added another 1.3% after hours ahead of the results and unlock timeline.
