China semiconductor-related stocks rose broadly as Chinese equities recovered from early losses, lifting several chip-focused exchange-traded funds more than 10% by about 1:20 p.m. Sci-Tech Innovation Semiconductor ETF ChinaAMC, Sci-Tech Innovation Semiconductor Equipment ETF Penghua and Semiconductor Equipment ETF E Fund were among the top gainers, while some products posted turnover rates above 20%. Trading surged across the wider market as well: the STAR 50 Index rose 10.73%, the ChiNext Index gained more than 7%, and combined turnover in Shanghai and Shenzhen reached 2.96 trillion yuan, up 255 billion yuan from the previous session. Guotai's Semiconductor Equipment ETF recorded turnover of more than 7.4 billion yuan and ChinaAMC's Sci-Tech Innovation Semiconductor ETF exceeded 6.7 billion yuan, with both already surpassing their previous full-day totals by early afternoon.
