Morph said its new independent network targets high-speed trading, while its existing Ethereum Layer 2 will remain focused on payments, stablecoins and open finance.
Morph has launched Morph Tachyon, an independent Layer 1 network designed for onchain trading and high-performance financial markets. The company said its existing Ethereum Layer 2 will continue to serve payments, stablecoins and open finance, while Tachyon is being positioned as a separate chain for trading workloads. Morph said Tachyon targets 200-millisecond block times, throughput of up to 200,000 TPS, instant finality, gas-free transactions and EVM compatibility. PopDEX plans to build trading infrastructure on the new network.
