New municipal measures back intelligent agents and the token economy with chip development, inference upgrades, service-model experimentation and voucher support for broader deployment.
Beijing has followed its earlier pledge to develop a token economy policy with a new set of municipal measures aimed at accelerating intelligent agents and token-based business models. The plan, issued by the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission with other departments, calls for innovation in general-purpose processors and specialized inference chips, upgrades to inference architecture and intelligent scheduling, and support for new service formats including Token as a Service and Agent as a Service. It also includes computing power vouchers and explores Token vouchers to encourage adoption across sectors. The update builds on Beijing's previously stated second-half agenda, which came after the city's digital economy value added rose 7.8% in the first half and core digital industries grew 9.8%.
