Blockchain.com will add institutional trading, liquidity and distribution support, while also making a strategic investment as both firms target growing demand for tokenized traditional assets.
OpenWorld has partnered with Blockchain.com in a multi-year deal to expand its real-world asset tokenization ecosystem with institutional trading, liquidity and distribution support. The agreement also includes a strategic investment from Blockchain.com and will see the company provide execution capabilities and institutional market infrastructure for OpenWorld’s token issuance, treasury management and advisory work. The firms said they want to create a more integrated platform for institutions issuing and managing tokenized assets, reflecting broader interest in RWA tokenization (putting traditional assets on blockchain rails) as investors seek onchain access to conventional asset classes. The companies also plan joint go-to-market efforts aimed at widening tokenized-asset adoption across institutional and private markets.
