Pulido will oversee Grayscale's blockchain-native product strategy as the firm deepens its push into tokenization and onchain financial products for institutional investors.
Grayscale has appointed Sebastian Pulido as head of onchain asset management, tasking the former Aave Labs, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Kinexys executive with building the firm's onchain product lineup. The July 21 hire signals a deeper move into tokenization, which Grayscale described in an April 2026 report as a megatrend centered on bringing traditional assets onto blockchain infrastructure. Pulido most recently served as director of institutional and DeFi business at Aave Labs, where he helped launch Aave Horizon, an institutional lending platform designed for both real-world assets and crypto assets in a permissioned environment. The appointment suggests Grayscale is seeking blockchain-native products that go beyond traditional crypto exposure vehicles and could eventually support institutional use cases such as onchain yield and tokenized collateral.
