A small minority of recently launched crypto tokens have managed to hold gains since launch. CryptoRank data cited by PANews on July 22 showed that only 8 of 113 tokens launched since 2024 and now carrying market capitalizations above $100 million remain above their TGE (token generation event) price, equal to 7.1% of the group, while 105 trade below issue price. Among the profitable names, HYPE was up about 1519%, ONDO 101.4%, EVA 20.3% and NIGHT 16.5%. The figures underscore how difficult it has been for newer listings to sustain post-launch valuations even after reaching nine-figure market caps, a pattern closely watched as a gauge of token issuance quality and secondary-market performance.
