OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Work, a GPT-5.6-powered productivity layer designed to automate multi-step tasks across workplace apps including Slack, Google Drive and Microsoft Teams, with an initial rollout to Pro, Enterprise and Edu plans and Business and Plus users to follow. The company is targeting small and midsize businesses with ChatGPT Business priced at about $25 per user per month, and says it already has more than 5 million business users and over 1 million enterprises using its AI tools. Separately, OpenAI is also preparing an enterprise software product referred to as OpenAI Presence, according to the source, signaling a broader expansion into corporate software for internal workflows and customer-facing applications.
