California Water Service Group said Newsweek named it one of only two water utilities on its 2026 list of “America’s Greatest Workplaces,” based on employee surveys, public data and millions of workplace data points reviewed with Plant-A Insights Group and Aniline. Separately, American Water said it ranked No. 1 in water and wastewater utilities on TIME’s inaugural America’s Best Companies 2026 list, developed with Statista using employee satisfaction, financial performance and sustainability transparency metrics. Both announcements highlighted workplace quality and corporate performance in the U.S. regulated water utility sector.
