Samsung Electronics is planning a new HVAC manufacturing plant at its Gwangju, South Korea complex as it pushes to expand its B2B central air-conditioning business. Industry sources said the company has applied for a construction permit and is expected to invest about 200 billion won in the project. The added capacity would include cooling equipment for AI data centers, a segment drawing rising demand as computing infrastructure expands.
