
The Financial Times said Samsung is discussing a fresh investment in the French AI startup, which is seeking several billion euros after raising €1.7 billion in September last year.
Samsung is in talks to join Mistral AI’s latest fundraising round, which is seeking several billion euros at a €20 billion valuation, the Financial Times reported on July 22. Sources said Samsung could invest about €1 billion in the French artificial intelligence startup. The report also said Mistral raised €1.7 billion in a funding round in September last year, with most of that financing coming from ASML, which uses Mistral’s AI models.
