Ukrainian drone attacks again hit logistics facilities in southern Russia, with authorities and Wildberries saying the retailer’s centers in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk were targeted and one worker was killed in Armavir. Wildberries CEO Tatiana Kim said the two logistics centers were evacuated on Wednesday morning. Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said a warehouse complex on the outskirts of Nevinnomyssk caught fire and that five people received medical treatment, while Krasnodar authorities said three more people were wounded when drone debris fell on a warehouse in Krasnodar. Local authorities in Armavir said one worker was killed when debris struck a site there. The attacks followed strikes on key Wildberries warehouses on Saturday that the new report said killed eight night-shift workers and sparked fires, differing from earlier reports that said seven people were killed and nearly 50 were injured at sites in Elektrostal and Kotovsk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the army had struck important facilities in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, describing them as logistics centers supplying the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment and other supplies, as well as another oil depot. He also said a tanker and four cargo ships belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet were hit in the Black Sea and Azov Sea areas, while Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi said Ukrainian drones struck 13 Russian vessels in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov in the past 48 hours. The latest attacks fit Kyiv’s strategy of using long-range drones to disrupt Russia’s war effort deep inside Russian territory and at sea, even as Russian attacks continued in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, where Governor Oleh Syniehubov said three people were killed and 11 injured over the previous 24 hours.
