Users can stake as little as 1 SUI on Coinbase, with estimated annual rewards of 1.4% to 3.3% paid daily, as Sui also launched its Hashi testnet.
Coinbase has launched SUI staking for eligible users, letting customers stake from a minimum of 1 SUI and earn estimated rewards of 1.4% to 3.3% annually. Rewards are paid daily at the end of each 24-hour network epoch and are automatically added back into staked balances through auto-compounding. Coinbase said the service is not available in all regions and stated the information was not intended as investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any digital asset. The rollout coincided with another development in the Sui ecosystem: the launch of the Hashi testnet. The platform is designed for developers, financial institutions, custodians and more than 25 ecosystem partners to build and test Bitcoin-based financial applications before a mainnet release. The project aims to combine Sui’s high-performance blockchain with Hashi’s Guardian Layer, a security protocol intended to strengthen control of Bitcoin collateral and support more transparent, programmable on-chain finance. The broader push is intended to expand Bitcoin’s role beyond a store of value into use cases such as lending, credit products, yield strategies and other institutional financial products on the Sui network. The announcement also came as Coinbase and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission agreed to settle a years-long FOIA lawsuit, with the SEC agreeing to pay Coinbase $150,000. Despite the developments, Coinbase shares were down 3.67% at $169.40 in intraday trading.
