
Three weeks after its July 1 mainnet launch, Robinhood Chain regained the daily active user lead over Base while reaching record TVL, underscoring intensifying competition for retail-focused onchain users.
Robinhood Chain moved back ahead of Base in daily active users on July 21, reaching 323,969 versus Base's 274,520, while total value locked rose to a record $588.9 million, according to Artemis. The Arbitrum Orbit-based layer-2 first overtook Base on July 11, lost the lead from July 16 through July 20, and regained it on July 21, highlighting rapid early traction just three weeks after its July 1 mainnet launch. Robinhood Chain also narrowly led Base in 24-hour spot DEX volume at $624 million versus $603 million and generated $198,215 in chain fees versus Base's $52,081, though Base remains much larger in DeFi TVL, stablecoin supply and perpetual futures volume.
