The exchange now offers spot trading and direct transfers for native INJ on the Injective network, expanding access beyond internal trading to on-chain deposits and withdrawals.
Coinbase has launched support for Injective’s native INJ, enabling spot trading as well as deposits and withdrawals on the Injective network. The rollout gives users access to the token in its native format rather than a wrapped or bridged version, allowing direct on-chain transfers in addition to exchange trading. The move matters because transfer support determines whether users can move INJ on and off Coinbase for self-custody or network use, not just buy and sell it internally. Coinbase users are being urged to verify that deposit and withdrawal details match the native Injective network before sending funds, as transfers made on the wrong network or in the wrong format can result in loss. Coinbase had previously connected with the project through its x402 protocol, which launched on Injective to let AI agents pay fees on the network. Broader support on Coinbase may improve INJ’s visibility and accessibility, though expanded exchange access alone does not guarantee sustained demand or price gains.
