The newly public quantum computing company said the appointments took effect on July 13, 2026 and May 26, 2026, with both executives reporting to President and CEO Rajeeb Hazra.
Quantinuum said Robin Schulman has been appointed chief legal officer and corporate secretary effective July 13, 2026, while Rory O'Byrne became chief human resources officer effective May 26, 2026, as the NASDAQ-listed quantum computing company builds out its leadership team after becoming a public company. Both executives report to President and CEO Rajeeb Hazra. Hazra said the hires come as Quantinuum enters what he called a promising new chapter as a listed company and continues to expand while commercialization of quantum computing accelerates. Schulman joins with more than two decades of legal and executive experience supporting high-growth technology companies through rapid expansion, strategic transformation and initial public offerings. Most recently, she served as chief legal officer and head of corporate affairs at GitLab, following earlier chief legal officer roles at Couchbase and New Relic and leadership positions at Adobe Inc. O'Byrne brings more than 25 years of international human resources experience across public and private-equity-backed organizations in technology, energy, mining and industry. He most recently served as chief human resources officer at Advanced Energy, and previously held senior HR roles at Jonah Energy LLC and MRC Global. Quantinuum describes itself as a leading quantum computing company with a full-stack platform for real-world deployments. It said it has commercialized multiple generations of trapped-ion quantum systems using QCCD (quantum charge-coupled device) architecture and employs about 700 people globally, with more than 70% of its technical team holding a PhD or master's degree.
