Memecoin activity topped $2.06 billion on Solana last week as Pump.fun led Hyperliquid in 24-hour revenue, highlighting renewed speculative trading and a surge in returning on-chain users.
Dormant wallets returning to Solana decentralized exchanges climbed to 62,000 last week, up more than 400% from the previous week and the highest level in more than a year, according to Blockworks data cited in the report. The rebound coincided with stronger memecoin trading, which generated about $2.06 billion in spot volume, roughly 19% of Solana’s approximately $10.6 billion total weekly DEX spot volume. Pump.fun generated about $1.21 million in 24-hour revenue, ahead of Hyperliquid’s roughly $1.03 million, as viral token launches such as $JIMOTHY, $KET and $ANSEM drew fresh speculative interest. Pump.fun pseudonymous co-founder Sapijiju said on X that the platform’s revenue may be undervalued because it has a significantly larger and more diverse user base than Hyperliquid, while Hyperliquid continued to post strong open interest, volume and regulatory engagement this month.
