The team said it would forgo legal action if at least 10% of the stolen funds, about $386,000, is returned within 24 hours after the B2 tokens were swapped and routed across chains.
B² Network on BNB Chain was suspected of being attacked, with on-chain analyst Specter saying the attacker allegedly stole 8.591 million B2 tokens valued at about $3.86 million. The funds were then swapped for 5,409 WBNB worth about $3.11 million, bridged to Ethereum, and moved to Zcash through NEAR Intents, a cross-chain transfer system. The team later said on-chain it would forgo legal action if at least 10% of the stolen funds, about $386,000, is returned within 24 hours. The sequence suggests an effort to convert the stolen tokens into more liquid assets and route them across multiple networks, a common tactic used to complicate tracing.
