The largest daily intake for China’s biggest tech-focused fund was more than double the previous record set in December 2020, pointing to aggressive dip-buying in local equities.
China’s largest tech fund, the Star 50 ETF, pulled in a record $2.0 billion of inflows on Monday, marking its biggest single-day intake on record. The haul was more than twice the fund’s previous daily record set in December 2020. The move suggests Chinese investors were buying into weakness, with the fresh demand helping drive the Star 50 index sharply higher.
