The PRNewswire announcement says the update adds broader terminal compatibility, CPad integration with desktop POS devices and wider global deployment options with payment partners including Soft Space and Rubean.
SUNMI said it has expanded its SoftPOS (software-based tap-to-pay acceptance) platform across more smart commercial terminals, aiming to widen secure contactless payment use in retail, hospitality and other face-to-face commerce settings. The update is designed to give payment service providers and merchants more flexibility by embedding SoftPOS into commercial devices so they can accept contactless payments while maintaining day-to-day operational workflows. A central addition is the integration of CPad with SUNMI desktop POS terminals, which pairs business management functions on the main terminal with dedicated payment acceptance on a separate device. SUNMI said the platform update also improves terminal compatibility, payment security, device management and global deployment capabilities, and highlighted ecosystem partners including Soft Space, viva.com, Softpay, OPP and Rubean.
