The rollout lets users buy QUBIC with cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other local payment methods through Alchemy Pay’s fiat on-ramp in 173 jurisdictions.
Qubic said it has integrated with Alchemy Pay to let users buy QUBIC directly through fiat on-ramps in 173 jurisdictions, aiming to reduce friction for newcomers by removing the need to first acquire another cryptocurrency on an exchange before purchasing QUBIC. The companies said the integration supports payment methods including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa, local bank transfers and mobile wallets. The partnership adds QUBIC, Qubic’s native token, to Alchemy Pay’s global fiat on-ramp as interest grows in AI-linked blockchain projects. Qubic describes itself as an AI-native Layer 1 network focused on decentralized computing, with instant finality, feeless transfers and smart contracts. It says its Useful Proof of Work, or UPoW, uses computational power for training artificial neural ecosystems rather than traditional mining calculations. Qubic also said CertiK verified a peak throughput of 15.5 million transfers per second in April 2022. Alchemy Pay said its fiat access network spans more than 300 payment methods and is supported by an expanding regulatory license portfolio, underscoring its broader effort to connect conventional finance with crypto markets.
