The new platform gives institutions web and API access to mint, redeem and manage RLUSD, while adding cross-network transfers and transaction tracking as the stablecoin’s market capitalization stands near $1.5 billion.
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a platform for institutional users to mint, redeem, manage and transfer its U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD through a web interface or direct API integrations. The company said the system is designed for high-volume users that need automation, real-time visibility and integration with internal infrastructure, while still allowing manual transaction controls through a web console. Ripple Mint also supports asset transfers across supported blockchain networks and end-to-end transaction tracking, extending RLUSD access beyond manual workflows for treasury management, payments and trading operations. Ripple said existing customers will be able to continue using the platform without interruption, with security, compliance and operational monitoring features carried over into the new system. RLUSD is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, which is authorized by the New York Department of Financial Services, a regulatory footing Ripple has used to position the stablecoin for institutional use. The token’s market capitalization is about $1.5 billion, while its monthly transaction volume has fallen nearly 25% to about $11 billion from roughly $14.6 billion.
