Eligible investors at supported brokerages will be able to vote on director elections and executive pay, extending traditional shareholder services to tokenized equities.
AlpacaDB, Inc. said on the 24th that it will start offering shareholder services to investors who hold tokenized stocks through a partnership with Broadridge Financial Solutions. Eligible investors using supported brokerages will gain access to Broadridge’s proxy voting platform for corporate matters including director elections and executive compensation. Alpaca said Broadridge holds a 94% custody share, citing the company’s own survey. The move is aimed at bringing standard shareholder rights infrastructure to tokenized equities, a market structure that seeks to represent traditional shares in digital form.
