Hyperinsight said the exits came as SK Hynix, GOOGL and the Nasdaq 100 fell, with one trader later opening a small SKHX short and only the GOOGL sale confirmed as stop-loss driven.
Three whale addresses exited long positions worth about $7.2637 million within an hour around midday, booking combined realized losses of roughly $79,800, Hyperinsight said. The closed trades involved Nasdaq 100, SK Hynix and GOOGL longs as those assets were down about 1.9%, 5.8% and 4.2%, respectively, at publication. Hyperinsight said only the GOOGL position was definitively sold after a $317 stop-loss order was triggered, while the Nasdaq 100 and SK Hynix trades were closed at a loss voluntarily rather than by an automatic risk-control order. One of the traders then opened an SKHX short worth about $225,700, indicating at least one whale shifted from cutting bullish exposure to taking a bearish position.
