The South Korean exchanges lifted TAIKO’s trading warning after reviewing the project’s response to a June exploit, reopening deposits and easing an immediate delisting risk.
South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit and Bithumb have removed TAIKO from their delisting watchlists after concluding that the issues behind the token’s trading caution designation were addressed following a June security breach. Upbit said on July 24 that it reviewed Taiko’s explanation of the incident and its subsequent security measures, then determined that the reason for the trading warning had been resolved. The decision clears an immediate listing risk for TAIKO on two of the country’s major exchanges and paves the way for deposits to resume. Upbit said TAIKO deposits would reopen for the KRW, BTC and USDT markets, with transfers made during the suspension to be credited in sequence, while warning that price gaps with overseas venues could lead to sharp volatility when inflows restart.
