The Shanghai-based humanoid robot maker has started its Hong Kong listing process with Citic Securities, CICC and Morgan Stanley as sponsors after earlier reports pointed to a third-quarter 2026 debut.
AgiBot, a Shanghai-based humanoid robot manufacturer founded in February 2023 by Deng Taihua and Peng Zhihui, has begun its Hong Kong IPO process and is targeting a valuation of HK$40 billion to HK$50 billion, or about $5.1 billion to $6.4 billion. Securities Times reported the formal process started on July 24, 2026. The company builds humanoid robots and embodied AI systems, with its A2 series as its flagship product line, and said it had shipped 15,000 robot units by June 2026. AgiBot counts Tencent, Hillhouse Investment and BYD among its backers, while Citic Securities, China International Capital Corp and Morgan Stanley are serving as joint sponsors. The move aligns with market expectations after sources had pointed as early as October 2025 to a potential third-quarter 2026 Hong Kong listing.
