CCTV said the former China Securities Regulatory Commission official is being investigated for suspected serious discipline and law violations after his 2024 removal from regulator posts.
Former China Securities Regulatory Commission vice chair and Party committee member Fang Xinghai is under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation for suspected serious disciplinary and legal violations, according to CCTV. The case was disclosed on July 24. Fang was appointed to the CSRC roles in October 2015 and was removed from the vice chair post by the State Council on July 30, 2024, while the Central Organization Department removed him from the Party committee position and replaced him with Li Ming.
