Binance Research said ETF perpetuals have grown into 19% of total TradFi perpetual volume across crypto exchanges, with Binance still dominating the segment as rivals begin to add competing products.

Summary

Binance said trading volume in its ETF perpetual contracts has surpassed $116 billion, with its share of the segment rising to 74% from 18% at launch. Binance Research said ETF perpetual trading volume grew by an average of 170% a month over the past seven months, reaching about 19% of all TradFi perpetual volume across crypto exchanges by July and roughly 30% of Binance’s own TradFi perpetual activity. The contracts let traders take round-the-clock positions on traditional ETFs without using a brokerage account, and recent activity has been concentrated in products such as SOXL and KORU. In July, Binance said KORU perpetuals traded $16.16 billion, exceeding the underlying ETF’s $10.89 billion volume. Binance now offers 146 TradFi perpetual pairs and added 35 in the past month, while Bybit entered the ETF perpetual market in May with products tied to EWY, QQQ and EWJ.
