The Chinese AI startup’s official Hugging Face page shows a 23:00 Beijing time release for the 2.8 trillion-parameter model, enabling developers to run and modify it on their own infrastructure.
Moonshot AI has set a July 27, 23:00 Beijing time public release for Kimi K3’s model weights via its official Hugging Face page, according to a countdown on the listing. Kimi K3 has 2.8 trillion parameters, a 1 million-token context window, and is described as aimed at long-duration coding and agent tasks. Releasing the weights would allow developers to download, test, modify, and deploy the model in their own data centers or cloud environments. The move comes as Moonshot AI reportedly sees strong commercial momentum, with daily revenue rising at least sixfold after Kimi K3’s release, while it also reportedly pursues fundraising at a $50 billion valuation and a potential Hong Kong listing this year.
