The calendar includes the Fed decision, U.S. GDP and PCE data, earnings from Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Apple, plus Zcash and Polygon upgrades and a series of crypto service closures.
Markets are heading into a week shaped by the Federal Reserve’s rate decision, key U.S. economic data and a heavy slate of crypto-specific developments, while easing tensions between Iran and the U.S. over the weekend may add to risk sentiment. Donald Trump suspended attacks on Iran on Friday, and Iran later said it had halted retaliatory attacks. The week’s macro focus centers on the Fed announcement, the FOMC statement and a press conference listed for 21:30 UTC+3, alongside U.S. core PCE inflation, quarter-on-quarter GDP and initial jobless claims. Euro area annual CPI is also due. In equities, Microsoft, Google, Meta and Apple are scheduled to report earnings. Crypto markets also face a dense schedule of protocol upgrades, exchange actions and shutdowns. Zcash is set for its Ironwood mainnet activation and NU6.3 upgrade, Polygon plans to launch the Ithaca hard fork on mainnet, Coinbase is suspending transactions on Across Protocol (ACX), and FTX has opened its next round of compensation claims. At the same time, several platforms and services are being wound down or permanently closed, including Odos, Dango, SBI Crypto’s Bitcoin mining pool, Pingu Exchange, Zero Network, Levvy, AngelList’s crypto investment support and Wormhole activity tied to Moonbeam. Strategy is also due to pay dividends for STRC and announce its second-quarter 2026 financial results.
