The in-house sentiment gauge slipped three points from yesterday, with readings nearer zero signaling extreme fear and higher scores pointing to stronger market optimism.
CoinMarketCap’s in-house crypto fear and greed index fell three points from yesterday to 35, keeping the market sentiment measure in fear territory. The gauge is designed so that readings closer to zero reflect extreme fear, while values approaching 100 indicate extreme optimism. CoinMarketCap says the index is calculated using price moves among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, market volatility, derivatives-market indicators such as the put/call ratio, the stablecoin supply ratio, or SSR, and the company’s own search data.
