Trade.xyz said a July 27 SKHYNIX mark-price drop during Korean premarket trading was triggered by executed trade data from a major venue and that it will make a one-time discretionary payout to affected accounts.
Trade.xyz said it will provide a one-time discretionary compensation payment for liquidation losses linked to the July 27 flash selloff in the SKHYNIX perpetual on Hyperliquid. The company said the contract’s mark price fell from $1,127.9 to $917.25 at 23:01 UTC after an executed trade from a major Korean premarket venue was relayed by multiple independent data providers, with the XYZ oracle tracking that venue as designed. Earlier, Hyperliquid had said Trade.xyz was investigating the event, which briefly pushed the SK Hynix-linked perpetual as low as $927 and intensified scrutiny of how HIP-3 deployers control pricing inputs and settlement while HyperCore handles matching, margining, liquidations and auto-deleveraging.
