Mando said he spent three years backing EPIK, repurchased more than half the supply with personal funds and may phase part of his holdings back to long-term community supporters.
EPIK creator Mando said the token has a total supply of 1 billion and that nearly 60% of that supply has disappeared after buybacks, burns and liquidity pool deposits. He said he personally bought back 350 million tokens, burned 150 million of them and deposited 8.1 million into the liquidity pool. Responding to criticism over holding 50% of the token, Mando said he spent three years supporting the project and repurchased more than 50% of the supply with personal funds rather than receiving a large allocation through an airdrop. He also said he did not buy back tokens that day, had invested a seven-figure sum over time, and is considering a phased airdrop of part of his holdings to long-term community supporters and related users. Token burns permanently remove coins from circulation, while liquidity pools are on-chain reserves used to facilitate trading.
